Welcome to 2015 - 2016 Dance Season

Dance is on the move in Boston, and it has landed ever so pleasantly at the Deborah Mason School of Dance, Center for Performing Arts Education. We are looking forward to another amazing season and some new and exciting happenings with our resident company, The Cambridge Youth Dancers, as well as artist in residence, Sean Fielder, and The Boston Tap Company.

We will be kicking off the season with master classes from industry dancers based in L.A. (see below info) and gearing up for rehearsals for our winter production, "What the Dickens". Guest artists Sean Fielder and The Boston Tap Company will be appearing, as well as Java Velez as the Ghost of Marley.

HISTORY:

Our school is a prominent institution in the community and is highly regarded on both the east and west coast. DMSD is devoted to excellence in teaching, learning, and developing dancers in many disciplines. Our program embraces what is current and innovative in the field of dance. Our renowned faculty and esteemed visiting artists offer a depth of experience and approach that transform our dancers into empowered artists with a unique individual voice. The faculty are engaged with teaching and push the boundaries of dance for students who are excited to work.

DMSD offers an unparalleled student experience and a generous financial aid program with over $25,000.00 awarded to more than 40% of our students. I'd like to thank the Boston Dance Alliance for their generous donation of dozens of brand new tap and jazz shoes that will be used for students in need. Please contact us at the front desk if your child is in need of any of these items.

We have been setting the highest standard in dance from Boston to NYC, and now L.A., for over 40 years. Our partnership with A.R.T. has also given us the opportunity to bring high-quality art experiences to families and individuals. I look forward to an amazing season and higher standards.

Reaching for the stars!

Yours in Dance,

Deborah Mason
